My Aussie friend from NY is headed to Australia to visit his 99yo mother. Just posted to facebook that he's trapped in a hotel room in Sydney:

"In my “cell” for 72 hour isolation. Actually an airport hotel where I’m not allowed out of my room for any reason. No window to open, no housekeeping services allowed and food I order is left at the door. Multiple PCR tests. "
