@Smudge2k the geomagnetic field is an area outside earth composed of a type of shield (won't get specific), which helps hold the earth's or any planets atmosphere. Basically a shield. When disturbed, for example a Solar Storm hits it, this field fluctuates creating a Geomagnetic Storm. The higher the storm the more likely it affects life. This field is generated in by the North and South Pole, allegedly. 😁
