@NaNcy I think these kind of stories (so blatantly concocted & promoted by the CCP) are intended for the domestic audience; that is, targeting their own citizens to influence opinion, deflect blame, make the US the bad guy. If the CCP wants to propagandize the US/World audience, they simply use their assets at New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, et al.
